LARKANA, June 27: The Democratic Lawyers Forum (DLF) in its meeting held here on Friday expressed concern over closing offices of the Supreme Court Bar Associations in Karachi and Lahore.

Speaking at the meeting, DLF chief Amanullah Shaikh said that such steps would not prevent lawyers community from speaking truth and taking a principled stand on national issues.

Terming the action uncalled for, he said that freedom of expression could not be chained by such actions and demanded that the Bar offices should be reopened.

AIDS: Nine AIDS victims, presently admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital, will be shifted to a rehabilitation centre in Lahore run by the Nae Zindagi Welfare Trust.

This was decided at a meeting of the local health officials with the representatives of trust.

KILLED: A villager, Mohammed Khan Narejo, was killed near Akil village on late Thursday.

According to reports, he was kidnapped by Mohammed Bakhsh alias Master Gaad to avenge the kidnapping of his relatives, Deedar Gaad and Akbar Gaad.

Bakhsh later allegedly killed Narejo, threw his body near Akil village and escaped.
