LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has formed a three-member reconciliation committee to bring back annoyed Olympians into the PHF fold to work together for the national cause.

PHF president Akhtar Rasool Chaudhary said on Thursday that Khawaja Zakauddin, retired Lt Col Zafar Ali Khan and Iftikhar Syed would work in the said committee.

He said every hockey player should be on one platform to make efforts to bring improvement in the national hockey. Though Akhtar, after being elected as PHF president last year, had attempted to bring back the annoyed Olympians such as Shahnaz Sheikh, Islahuddin, Samiullah and many others, he failed in his attempt.

Nonetheless, he is still optimistic about return of the Olympians as the committee he has formed comprises forthright members.—Sports Reporter
