KARACHI: Larkana, as expected, scored an easy five-victory over Fata in the opening fixture of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Larkana, who were 18-0 at the start of the last day of the three-day game, duly got the remaining runs in their 115-run chase.

Mohammad Akbar (28) and wicket-keeper Zafar Ali (25) were main scorers in Larkana’s second innings.

For Fata, Abdul Mannan and Mohammad Zeeshan each claimed two wickets.

Larkana and Fata now will confront each other again at the same venue on Tuesday in the first game of the one-day cup.

Meanwhile, the second match of the double league Quaid Trophy triangular competition will be held between Larkana and Dera Murad Jamali from Thursday in Hyderabad.
