QUETTA: Two people were killed and three others were injured in an ambush in Turbat on Tuesday.

Levies sources said that unknown armed men targeted five people with sophisticated weapons in Pedrak area of Kech Turbat district, leaving two men dead and three others injured.

The assailants managed to escape from the scene.

“Five people were on their way in Pedrak area when unidentified armed attackers riding motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire on them,” Levies personnel said, adding that all five received multiple bullet wounds.

Two of them succumbed to their injuries on the way to a hospital, they said.

Levies personnel were investigating the incident.

Further probe was underway.
