PESHAWAR: Engineer Shaukatullah Khan resigned from the post of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.
According to the state-owned channel PTV, Khan sent his resignation to the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
It is expected that opposition leader in the KP Assembly Sardar Mehtab Abbasi will replace Khan to the governor’s post, sources said.
Last year, in February 2013, then-president Asif Ali Zardari, on the advice of then-prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, had appointed Khan as the Governor of Khyber Pakthunkhwa province, replacing veteran Barrister Masood Kausar due to health problems.
Prior to that, Khan had been elected as a member of the National Assembly from NA-43 Nawagai.

@edwardian. I think you have never been to FATA other wise you could have seen a gas pipe line laying from Kohat to Darra Adam Khel(FATA). It is just one example.

My point is not the fact that I have not been to FATA myself, but whether the Governor himself has visited FATA in his official capacity. Name just three fruitful visits in his thirteen months tenure.

He paid Faryal Talpur more than 60 crore rupees to be made governor kpk, those gas pipe lines spread are just throwing crumbs at the masses. Keep on living in a fools paradise

As governor from (FATA) he has recently assigned funds for FATA students scholarship and also for the two cadet colleges in Fata in the current ADP programme.so i wish good luck for him.
