MIRAMSHAH: The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has accused the government of having done nothing to meet its demands of releasing non-combatant detainees and setting up a peace zone and continuing action against its members across the country.
TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said in a statement here on Tuesday that at the initial stage of talks the Taliban had agreed to observe a ceasefire so that negotiations could be held in a cordial atmosphere, but the government did nothing to meet its demands.
He said none of the detainees released by the government had been handed over to the Taliban negotiating committee.
