KARACHI: The Rs100,000 Essa Lab open tennis championship will be played at Karachi Club courts from April 16 to 22.

The details of the event were announced by Dr Farhan Essa, the sponsor of the event, and the Sindh Tennis Association (STA) President Khawaja Saeed Hai at a press briefing on Wednesday.

The events that will take place include juniors under-18 singles, under-16 singles, under-14 singles, under-12 singles, girls under-18 singles , 45 plus doubles and 55 plus doubles.

Last date for submission of entries is April 14. First two days of the event are restricted for qualifying rounds.

Speaking on the occasion, the Dr Farhan said under the corporate social responsibility, his organisation is sponsoring six sports in the city and will continue to support in the future also.
