Two Shia Hazaras gunned down in Quetta

QUETTA: Armed militants killed two people of ethnic Shia Hazara community in Sariab road area of Quetta, the capital of volatile Balochistan province on Saturday night, police said.
Imran Qureshi, the Superintendent of Police Sariab Road told Dawn.com that armed militants singled out two members of Hazara community from a passenger bus and opened fire on them from a very close range.
He said one person was killed on the spot while the other succumbed to his wounds on his way to hospital. The attackers sped away on their motorcycles after the firing.
“The incident as an act of targeted killing,” Qureshi said. The passenger bus was preparing to leave for Karachi when intercepted by militants, he added.
Police and personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) reached the spot and launched an initial investigation into the incident.
“It is an act of sectarian terrorism,” police said.
The dead bodies of the victims were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for medico-legal formalities.
The incident took place four days after at least 17 people were killed in a blast at Sibi railway station in the province.
Quetta remained under the grip of sectarian attacks for last more than a decade. A large number of members of Hazara community have been killed in targeted killings and suicide attacks.

Saudi royal family at its best. Saudi royal family proxy war is fought by Pakistan. Our leaders (politicians) are selling our souls for Riyals and dollars. When people talk about foreign hand, third person, our enemy? The answer to all of them is Saudi Arabia, Royal family, UAE and our Mullah and Politicians who are promoting terrorism by supporting the wahabi school of thought. Promoting secretarial violence and allowing a certain sect to kill the remaining minorities.

mullah Fazl, mullah Sami. mullah Aziz. Baby Bhutto, Zardari

The Muslims are divided into factions. There is no unity among them. Islam teaches tolerance, unity, peace and harmony among religions living in a state and yet we don't follow the teachings and guidelines of our faith.
Killing people of any faith is a worst crime of humanity. And yet, this has become common practice in our country.
UN and other European organisations must intervene to help the Shia community to move out and provide assistance for their safety.
The state cannot and will not provide safety to Shia minority. It has been many years now that Shia community has been victimised at the hands of extremist groups.
This also applies to other minority groups which have been victimised such as Hindus and Christians. We have become insensitive to others needs and happiness. So much death and destruction in the name of religion.
There is no freedom in this state where people have to live in constant fear. Darkness fell on us many years ago and there is no one to steer us out towards light.

Proportionally speaking which ethnicity is targeted as Hazaras? Do you even know where these Hazaras live and what is their population? Do you know that their whole community is under siege and alienated because they will be targeted like these two murder victims? Are the Sunnis treated like this in Iran? Do you know how many targeted incidents have happened against the Hazara community and how many people have been convicted? There have been more 300 incidents of target killings in the last 7 years and not even a single person could be convicted.

The agenda or promise made appears to be like this : Gradual release of terrorists from detention on the pretext of confidence building measure, no stern action against terrorists and turning a deaf ear to target killings of minority sect followers, be it Hazara in Balochistan or others in Karachi.

Very sad to hear that INNOCENT SHIA got killed, In my opinion pAKISTAN need to educate people. Education is the KEY.Start from Kinder-Garten and teach each and every child from
start...We all are HUMAN and we have no right te hurt any one, regardless of religion race.
ISLAM and all other religions teach us to live in peace, help each others ..

Another brutality took the life of two innocent shia hazaras in Quetta yet as it has always been there--dead silence over this gross target killing of innocents. Irony of the fact is there that our leaders are selling the heads in return of dollars, dinars and riyals. It's high time now that they have to take a serious review of their policies lest it should be very late.
