ISLAMABAD: The Subh-e-Nau Earth Day National Ladies and Juniors Tennis Championship will be held here from April 21 to 25, the organisers said on Friday.

Shahida Kauser Farooq, chairperson Subh-e-Nau said in a statement that the tournament aims at promoting tennis at the grassroots level. She said the event will feature players in five different categories. These include ladies’ singles, ladies’ doubles, junior U-18 singles, junior U-18 doubles and U-14 singles.

Top seeded players have confirmed their entries in the event which carries a prizemoney of Rs150,000 to be distributed among the winners.

Mahvish Chishtie will be the tournament coordinator. Interested players can contact Shehzad Akhtar Alvi, tournament referee, at 0333-5158971 for entries and further details.

The finals of the tournament will be played on April 25 here at the PTF Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue.
