KOHAT: The commissioner of Kohat division has approved increase in number of security personnel to be deployed at sensitive places in order to protect lives and properties of citizens.

This approval was given during a meeting chaired by commissioner Syed Jamaluddin Shah on Saturday. The meeting beside others was also attended by DPO Kohat Salim Khan Marwat, SP investigation Mohammad Bashir, additional assistant commissioner Haider Hussain and officials of the security agencies.

The meeting also reviewed the security of local VIPs and took certain decisions in that regard.

Mr Shah said that there would be no compromise on law and order situation. Therefore, the security agencies should make foolproof security arrangements and no one be allowed to harm the prevailing peaceful atmosphere, he added.

He maintained that the policy of provincial government regarding law and order was crystal clear and there was no space for

negligence, adding that those showing lethargy would be dealt with sternly.
