Any one who reads the history will know its not an insurgency, it is an outright a freedom movement for independence from India, one of many not given coverage by International media.

Maoist rebels' agenda is to give land rights to native tribals and establish a Maoist style communist Government in the country. Where did you get this idea of 'independence', when Maoists have never given any direct or indirect hint about any such aspiration? Even if, just for your satisfaction, we assume that they want 'independence', they being concentrated in small jungle-pockets in central India (like an island), how can they achieve independence while surrounded on all four sides by India?
