Tausiq to lead NBP hockey squad

KARACHI: International player Mohammad Tausiq has been made to lead an 18-member National Bank of Pakistan squad in the All Pakistan Nishan-e-Haider Hockey Tournament starting at Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur on Tuesday.

The NBP face Pakistan Army in their opening match on Wednesday, a NBP Sports Department spokesman said on Monday.

Mazhar Abbas, Syed Kashif Shah (goal-keepers); Mohammad Ateeq, Usman Baloch, Tausiq Ahmed (full-backs); Faisal Qadir, Arsalan Qadir, Mohammad Tariq, Ali Hasan Faraz (half-backs); Dilbar Hussain, Ali Shan, Akhtar Ali, Amjad Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Kashif, Sibtain Raza, Zubair Ahmed, Ayub.

Officials: Akhlaq Ahmed (coach), Syed Abuzar Umaro (manager).
