He directed to launch cleanliness drives at union council level, and to hold programmes and walks for creating awareness among masses about dengue.

The meeting also decided to set up separate wards for dengue patients in Ganjay hospital Takhtbai, Toru hospital and Katlang hospital so that the patients of adjacent areas got treatment near their doorsteps.

The deputy commissioner instructed district education officer to organise awareness programmes at the morning assemblies of schools regarding dengue prevention.
