UN urges Afghanistan to prioritise ‘dignified’ return of refugees

ISLAMABAD: The head of the United Nations' refugee agency on Wednesday said he hopes Afghanistan will prioritise the “safe and dignified” return of Afghan refugees from Pakistan and other countries.
UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres told journalists in Islamabad that Kabul had given “little priority” to the repatriation of refugees in the past.
His comment comes as Afghans are in the process of electing a new president to replace President Hamid Karzai.
Since the 2001 US-led invasion of Afghanistan, some 3.8 million refugees have returned home. Nearly 1.6 million registered Afghan refugees continue to live in Pakistan.

Dignified or non dignified we have enough of these thankless Afghans who are major source of terrorism, arm and drug smuggling in Pakistan. Send them by force to Afghanistan.

Yes, they should be send back with dignity and respect because they were the victims of circumstances.No one like to leave his homeland; now it is high time that they should restart their life in their own country with respect. They were being used by some anti social elements in Pakistan.Afghanistan is getting better day by day and these refugees will play their role in development of their homeland.

What refugees unless they live in Karachi, KPK and Balochistan belongs to Afghanistan. So that's their own land!
