MINGORA: Goods worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a cosmetics factory near Ayub Bridge here on Saturday.

The factory is situated in basement of a building on Kanju road. The workers ran out of the building just when the fire started thus, no casualties were caused.

After receiving information, a fire brigade tender reached the spot and controlled the blaze after more than an hour’s struggle.

Shamimuddin, the factory owner, claimed that he had suffered Rs10 million loss in the incident.

There is a furniture factory, a school and some other shops in the same building, which remained safe in the incident. The reason of fire could not be ascertained, said officials.
