LAHORE: Two matches were decided in the Inter-provincial Basketball Championship, which exploded at the Government College University courts here on Wednesday.

Teams from all the four provinces are taking part in the event.

In the first match, Punjab outclassed Balochistan 69-36, after seizing 40-28 lead at half-time.

For Punjab, Umar Hayat Butt was the key scorer with 12 points, followed by Kibria (10).

KP fought hard to eliminate the challenge of Islamabad 59-41. The winners had established a close 32-26 lead at the half-time. For the winners, Faqir Muhammad (15), Aamir (12) and Hameedullah (10) were the major scorers.
