QUETTA: At least four people were killed and one person was injured on Tuesday in separate incidents of violence in different areas of Balochistan.

Three people were killed during an armed clash between two tribes in Balochistan's remote Jhal Magsi district, Levies personnel claimed.

A Levies official who requested anonymity since he was not authorised to speak to media told Dawn.com that firing erupted between two tribes in Kot Magsi area of the district.

The two tribes had an old enmity in the area over distribution of land.

"There were dozens of armed men in Kot Magsi as intense exchange of fire continued", he said.

He added that two tribesmen were also injured during the firing.

"Even after an one hour, firing is still continued", a Levies man said.

Both sides were using heavy weapons against each other.

Rescue teams immediately reached the site of the incident and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital.

Earlier in a similar tribal clash 15 people were killed in Jhal Magsi.

Landmine blast kills one, injures another

In another incident one person was killed and another was injured in a landmine blast on Sui-Dera Bugti road.

According to the levies sources, some unidentified people had planted a landmine on the Sui-Dera Bugti road.

Rescue teams immediately reached the site of the incident and shifted the victims to Sui district hospital.
