LAHORE: Railways minister Khwaja Saad Rafiq has warned Dr Tahirul Qadri that a different situation than what was witnessed during January 2013 Islamabad sit-in of Pakistan Awami Tehrik will be waiting for him.

Speaking at a seminar on threats to press freedom at the Lahore Press Club here on Sunday, he said the Maulana would be given a ‘befitting welcome’ when he returned to Pakistan from Canada.

He said it were (ex-president) Asif Zardari who had tolerated Maulana’s Islamabad ‘drama’ but the incumbent government would not allow such a show.He appreciated PTI chairman Imran Khan for not joining the Qadri-Chaudhry alliance.
