ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani administered the oath of office to Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan as chief justice of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC) on Thursday.

Judges of the Supreme Court and the FSC, the chief justice of Islamabad High Court, attorney general, officers of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan, Federal Judicial Academy and representatives of the Supreme Court Bar Association attended the ceremony.

SC Registrar Syed Tahir Shahbaz conducted proceedings of the oath-taking ceremony.

ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE: Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, the senior most judge of the Supreme Court after the chief justice, will be sworn in as acting chief justice on Friday.

Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja will administer the oath to Justice Mulk.

Justice Mulk will act as acting chief justice during the absence of Chief Justice Jillani who is proceeding to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah.
