PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the Inter-provincial Boys Volleyball Championship title for the third time in a row as they defeated Punjab in the final here at the PSB Coaching Centre on Thursday.

The 25-21, 25-23, 25-19 scoreline clearly indicates the close encounter deciding the champions.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team comprising Anwar, Bilal, Shehzab, Kamran Shah, Mohammad Sajid, Saleem, Mushtaq and Salam produced an outstanding performance against a formidable-looking Punjab team which included Mohammad Umar, Hasibullah, Umair Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Saqib and Zeeshan Maqbool.

Meanwhile, KP male contestants won the swimming title besides, clinching the badminton crown for third time in a row. KP’s hockey and athletics teams recorded second position.

In female events, KP grabbed first position in judo and table tennis, second spot in badminton and athletics.
