LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has appealed to the Minhajul Quran administration to withdraw its decision of the judicial commission boycott.
“As the judicial process is the only source of ensuring justice, its boycott will be a grave injustice to the deceased people and their families,” an official statement quoted him as saying at a meeting with some assembly members on Thursday.
Shahbaz said he was determined to provide justice to the aggrieved at any cost and cooperation with the judicial commission was necessary to ensure punishment to those who had played with human lives.
He said despite Minhajul Quran refusal to meet the delegation of ministers going there to express condolences, the Punjab government would uphold all demands of justice.
He said the judicial commission had started its work and the facts would soon be brought before the nation. He said the commission report would be implemented in letter and spirit and the guilty would not escape punishment.
