Proud to be Canadian.

I also feel proud that Canada allowed me to live in this stable and peaceful country. The best thing I like about Canada is that my life is safe in Canada unlike in Pakistan. The politicians in Canada listen to their voters. The democracy is real. In Pakistan, I used to be scared during day and during night. I used to be scared from politicians as I knew that they have GULLU BUTTS in their pockets.

so basically the moment canada becomes remotely like pakistan ull pack ur bags, move to another country and then post a similar comment about being proud to be from so and so country?

@HRiz Looks like you did not get enough points to qualify for immigration. You will not make such a comment if you had lived under fear and seen your loved ones killed in streets and blown up in a Masjid.

@HRiz What seems strange is that you believe a person should remain a prisoner of a geographic area, which happens to start using a name of a country. The idea of the creation of the country isn't that people are there to serve it as slaves. The idea is that people are able to live as freely as possible when they agree to live under a political system. When that political system doesn't stay true to it's promise or a person simply doesn't want to live in that geographic area they being inherently free just can choose to leave. There is no need for justification or an explanation. The world was created not so that we get so confused that can't move to a better and sweeter life. We after all only live once. A country when it start descending into turmoil first start having a brain drain. In other words those with brains are the first to realize the malaise, and as a result see the eventual writing on the wall. They act to ensure they don't end up being the helpless victims or a blotch on a wall after a bomb blast. Those who are too wedded to the being a slave to a monolithic government run by a select few, eventually get their turn to get punished when no one else is left who can be blamed. And while we are at it, did the greatest prophet of Islam not leave Mecca for Medina? Did he not leave his clan, and his ancestral land to go to a safer, better place? Did the Muslims of Mecca not migrate to Yathrib? Oh my friend, I feel for you, for I pity how much you must suffer, thinking every person leaving is a traitor, without realize that by not doing so, you condemn yourself and your family to greater chance of harm, and physical and psychological torture. I am a person, and no one owns me. Pakistan is wonderful in many ways, but it is there to serve me, and I not it. I belong only to myself and no one else. This entire world is my abode, and I go where I please, and do as I please, as long as I don't physically harm another. I enjoy walking to the stream that flows past my house. Looking at the green tall trees and the fresh, clean, air, I experience peace.

@Al Ghazali Assalam Alaekum, you are correct that Prophet (peace be upon him) migrated to Madina, but dont forget that he came back after making a Jamat in Madina and freed Makkah from people tyranny, can you do the same for Pakistan?

@Faisa So you expect me to conquer Pakistan by force and implement my version of some system? Change comes from changing one's own ideas and behavior, not by praying for a savior. The savior eventually dies and one is left with nothing but memories. It's a proper system that gives results independent of the person in charge. Think of a burger being prepared at McDonald's. The workers may change but the burger comes out just the same. That's the difference between having a proper system and reliance on some superman to end all misery. Lets hope that we are able to unshackle Pakistan from the chains of social, political, and economic stagnation. I am doing my part in educating those who can understand and listen, the rest is up to the people, whether they wish to smell the fresh air of freedom or keep existing in the stench of oppression.
