During his short visit, he inaugurated Mandra-Chakwal Road and Chakwal-Sohawa Road and said Chakwal would benefit from developmental projects.
On the occasion, the premier also said that when he came to power, the country’s treasury had been empty.
Sharif said others should be tendering their resignations and not him. He said the value of dollar had declined during his tenure but those who had promised to resign on that account had retracted their statements.
Underscoring that it would take time to resolve the country's problems, he said Pakistan was faced with load-shedding even before the previous government came to power, adding that the last two governments had failed to root out the energy crisis.
The premier stressed that if attention was paid to coal and water resources, cheap electricity could be sourced from these.
He said the government wanted to establish peace in the country, adding that it hoped that the people could commute and travel in peace even at late hours into the night.
Separately, he said time was needed in order to reform government institutions.

Funds of 4.71 billions rupees were released by ECNEC in Islamabad for only project i.e Mandra-
Chakwal road while there is no allocation of funds in annual budget of 2014/2015 for Sohawa Chakwal road. This is another example of defrauding public by PML(N) govt.
The FUND allocation for 64 kilometer project of Mandra Chakwal road was 2.676 billions during previous government and NLC started work at that amount . Now the revised cost of this road is 4.671
billions . Has the prices of road building material gone double during last 2 years?

@Salman Only one project i.e. Mandra Chakwal road was approved by ECNEC committee in its meeting on 3rd July 2014 while release of fund by other project was delayed for indefinite period as per various newspaper reports. So construction of Sohawa-Chakwal road is a total lie.
There is cost difference of about 2 billion in in construction cost of Mandra- Chakwal road between cost of construction of previous govt. and present govt. Can anybody from PML(N) answer this

Inauguration of projects and photo opportunities is all this government is about. I have seen pictures of a hospital that was announced by Shahbaz Sharif many years ago. I am sure they spend millions in these inaugurations and nobody remembers these promises. That is the name of the game. I read that there are 15 people who are related to the prime minister in important jobs as ministers and so on. Merit has never meant anything to this government. One of the first things they did, when PMLN came into power was to extend the quota system (in education) for another 20 years.

Both of these projects were approved during the PPP regime. Shame on Nawaz sharif and PMLN that they are making false statements. These projects were already in the making but PMLN just change the Inauguration boards to name these projects on their own. I am getting tired of PMLN lies. They are thinking people are a fool and they are the only cunning people alive.

What an achievement? The cost of the project has doubled due to the lack of interest in this project. Only after a great public protest held by every section of the society in Chakwal has resulted in the announcement of today. Let's hope they do deliver the funds needed for the project as the budget has already been finalised and don't know where the funds for both these roads will come from. Let's wait and see.
On top of this, what was the need for today's lavish ceremony when this project had already been approved and inaugurated by the former PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.

Please keep it up your opponent will die with their own death. They have no agenda for the welfare and well being of the peoples of Pakistan. They all are fighting for their survival and keep alive their dirty politics. They are all badly rejected by the peoples of Pakistan in last general election. They don't want that Pakistan Muslim League (N) flourish in other provinces with the work. They don't want that PML (N) govt. complete their tenure of five year because these five years will put their dieing politics to unrecoverable end. Peoples of Pakistan are with Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif who are doing a lot for the up left of the peoples of Pakistan whereas their opponents have no agenda. They are just playing in the secret hands nothing else.

A few miles away in Taxila people are dieing because of shortage of life saving drugs in THQ Hospital, deliveries are being done in candle light & here we are inaugurating roads. ahhhhhhhhhh. What a pity.

@Pervez Mahmud Construction on both projects started during PPP Govt but funds were stopped by former CJP. These two projects were approved by Ex-Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in August 2012. PPP victimization as usual.
