ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will leave for Saudi Arabia on Sunday night where he will hold discussions with the Kingdom's leadership on a number of issues. He will also perform Umrah during his visit.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister Office on Sunday evening, Nawaz Sharif will travel on a normal commercial flight along with 12 members of his family.
“The prime minister and his family members will bear the entire traveling and lodging expenses themselves,” the statement said.
During his visit, the prime minister will meet with the Saudi leadership to discuss bilateral ties and the evolving situation in the Middle East especially Gaza, Syria and Iraq.
PML-N sources close to Nawaz Sharif said that the prime minister will also discuss the internal political situation of Pakistan with the Saudi leadership.
This includes matters related to the PTI's long march, development in former president Pervez Musharraf's case and the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan against militants.

First, what clout Pakistan has to influence situation in middle east & Gaza ? There is a tacit agreement between US & Saudi Royals to give Jewish state a free hand in dealing with Palestinians. Second, What business does Nawaz Sharif has to discuss PTI long march with Saudi Royals ? This is Pakistan's internal issue. Every time there are crisis in Pakistan, MNSharif runs to Saudi Arabia & to seek advice from Saudi Royals. The underlying reason of this trip is,how to let Musharraf go.

Another business trip to Saudi Arabia which has nothing to do with the well being of Pakistan and Pakistanis. We never hear about the business (or businesses) our Prime Minister established in Saudi Arabia during his exile. Wouldn't it be nice to find out what those businesses do, who his business partners are and how many people does he employ there?.

Couple of comments why he needs to discuss internal pak issues with Saudis his primary focus other than umrah should be to press Saudis to show their solidarity with people of Gaza and immediately call for OIC meeting to condemn Israeli attack on innocent Palestinians and demand for immediate stop to brutalities.
