DERA ISMAIL KHAN/KOHAT: Terrorists on Friday killed three people, including a traffic warden, in Dera Ismail Khan and Kohat.

The DI Khan police said Abdul Majeed and Imran died in a roadside blast of an improvised explosive device near Patwari Band in Kulachi tehsil.

They said the deceased were going to Luni village to buy the cattle.

In Kohat, armed motorcyclists gunned down traffic warden Hakeem Khan on Friday.

The police said the warden was shot at when he was doing his duty on Bannu Road.

They said the gunmen seized the official gun of the warden before fleeing.

After the incident, the police cordoned off the area, blocked all exit points and began a manhunt. However, no arrests were made by night.

Also in the day, rivals gunned down two people over a dispute Doctor Banda area.

Samandar Khan told police that he along with Naseeruddin, Junaid and Hanif Khan were going to their fields when Fazal Noor, Saifoor and Tajjamul intercepted them and fired gunshots.

He said Junaid and Hanif Khan died instantly, while he and Naseeruddin suffered injuries. The complainant said the killers fled.

The police said they had registered a case and began a manhunt. However, no arrests were made by the night.

In Charsadda, a police constable was injured in a terrorist attack.

The police said terrorists opened fire at policemen and the bomb disposal squad members when an explosive device planted by a Sarow Kali road was being defused.

Constable Ayaz Khan received injuries and was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
