GUJRANWALA: Girls of private educational institutions bagged the first three positions in the secondary school certificate annual examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala.

According to controller examinations Muhammad Tanvir Zafer, overall 164,165 candidates took part in the examination and 114,863 were declared successful, showing a pass percentage of 69.97.

Rida Maryam of Federal Science College, Wapda Employees Town; stood first with 1,068 marks while Kashf Zafar of The Educators, Civil Line Campus for Girls, Sessions Court Road, got second position with 1,065 marks and Hadia Akhtar of Jadid Dastagir Ideal Girls School secured third position with 1,064 marks.

SCIENCE GROUP (Boys): Zulqarnain Shaukat of City Public School, College Road, People’s Colony; bagged first position by obtaining 1,063 marks while Muhammad Jehanzeb Iqbal of New Science Foundation High School for Boys, Kamoki, got second position by getting 1,059 marks and Bilal Yasin Khan of Talent Science School for Boys, Satellite Town, got third position by getting 1,058 marks.

SCIENCE GROUP (Girls): Rida Maryam of Federal Science College secured first position by obtaining 1,068 marks while Kashf Zafer of The Educators, Civil Line, got second position by getting 1,065 marks and Hadia Akhter of Jadid Dastagir School got third position by getting 1,064 marks.

HUMANITIES GROUP (Boys): Sajan Kumar of Government Christian High School, Sialkot, secured first position with 1,006 marks while Muhammad Abu Baker of Sir Syed Pilot High School, Model Colony, Wazirabad; stand second with 989 marks and Ali Raza of Government High School, Daska, got third position by getting 974 marks.

HUMANITIES GROUP (Girls): Laraib Fatima of Government Girls High School No 1, Kharian; obtained first position with 1,044 marks while Aaisha Ishaque of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sarai Alamgir; got second position with 1,032 marks and Zainab Bibi of Sadiqabad village Phalia; got third position with 1,021 marks.
