LONDON: Pakistan’s Britain-based martial arts champion Haider Mannan clinched the gold medal in the +85kg in light contact category in the British & Open Karate & Kickboxing Championship held in Manchester on July 20.
According to the information received, the 52-year-old Mannan, who has previously won three medals for Pakistan in kickboxing competitions around the world, won the European title at the George Hall Carnal Spots Centre in Manchester.
Mannan has now reiterated his desire to become a world champion. “I’m training very hard and now I’m a European champion, my ambition is still very high,” he said. “To become a world champion is my dream and I’m desperately looking for sponsorship to help make that happen.”
