LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA Dr Murad Rass has voluntarily submitted his resignation to party chairman Imran Khan for "ready reference and use".

Mr Khan has yet to ask party's parliamentarians to submit their resignations.

Dr Rass says: "My seat is PTI's trust and I have voluntarily returned that trust to the party."

He told Dawn that the Punjab Assembly was a house of people carrying fake mandate and added that the government had pushed the people against the wall.

WOMEN'S WING: PTI Women's Wing central president MNA Dr Munazza Hasan has said women from all over Pakistan will enthusiastically participate in the Azadi March.

Speaking at a news conference here on Saturday, Dr Hasan averred the government would commit a serious mistake if it tried to block the Azadi March. She said she had been entrusted with the responsibility to look after the logistics for women's participation in the long march.

She said she would visit all the cities in Punjab to monitor the preparations for women's participation. She said the PTI chief had not yet asked the parliamentarians to submit their resignations.

Dr Hasan also notified that MPA Nosheen Hamid Meraj had been appointed PTI Women's Wing central vice-president, Eshma Shuja (central secretary foreign affairs), Maliha Hassan (central secretary social welfare), Um-ul-Nabeen (regional vice president) and Neelum Ashraf (Lahore women wing president).
