LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday announced that his party will observe a 'Day of Martyrs' on August 10, to commemorate the lives lost in violent clashes that broke in Lahore's Model Town on June 17.
In press conference held outside the Minhajul Quran secretariat, Dr Qadri said that before staging a 'Revolution March' — a date for which has not yet been announced — those responsible for the loss of lives on June 17 must be brought to justice.
He said that if the government tried to present obstacles in the way of the 'Martyrs Day' call, it would result in the dissolution of the government within the month of August.
Dr Qadri held the Punjab government completely responsible for the Model Town tragedy and said, "Nawaz Sharif should decide whether he will leave office first or his brother."
The PAT chief said that 14 people were killed and 90 wounded due to direct gun fire. He added that a total of 469 rounds had been fired during the clashes on June 17.
He alleged that police had subjected women and the elderly to torture and violence and warned that police would be meted with the same treatment it gave to PAT activists.

This man, a Canadian national, should be arrested immediately for inciting nationals of Pakistan which resulted in the death of many and be put on trial and sentenced and later be deported to his adopted country Canada.

Bro. these all are joker and touts brought by unseen forces. now those forces achieved their objective and time to throw away PAT and PTI. They used TUQ and Imran Khan for their agendas and now advised to both for face saving and I guaranteed both will be cool and calm after 15th August. Nothing will happen and should be happened because country need continuation of democracy for at least 20 years to get these nunahalan mature. I pray nation will also grow up now, only survival is in continuation of system for certain period...... people like TUQ and Imran Khan could not bring good to Pakistan rather they will bring chaos and instability in the country.

The firing went on for 8 hours the next day and 16-20 people were shot dead and 2 women were shot in the face and 90 people have received bullet wound for many this means life long suffering and complications.
Shahbaz Sharif must step down.
Only then the detractors of Tahir ul Qadri have the moral right to call him a joker. To me right now Showbaz Sharif is the joker and possibly the murderer.

Its so shameful that Shareef's ordered to clearly murder/kill people who were dissatisfied with Shareef khandan.
Its against any humane principle and they should pay the price for ordering this killing if they were involved in it.

I am not a supporter of TUQ but I admit that Tahir Ul Qadri is consistent. Whatever he said, he has done it, whereas Imran Khan is not consistent.

I know one thing for sure; only a revolution can bring the people of Pakistan out of the abyss; in which the few have pushed the whole nation in. If not Dr Tahir Ul Qadri then it will be another savior. Let us wait and see who is the man with character strong enough to overthrow the shackles so deceptively cemented around the whole nation by the few Politicians who are all United together in their resolve to safeguard against any effort from the commoners to break free from their tyrannical paws.

It is a shame that even educated people in Pakistan do not understand the real democracy, winning elections under mediocre system is not sufficient to be called democratic government, after the incident like Lahore massacre any democratic government in civilized world would have resigned or thrown out through legal process in Pakistan PMN-L government continues to defy all norms of civilized world and continue in their unjust and undemocratic way. There was no need for setting up a commission or initiating an extra ordinary process, in an honest, democratic and civilized society such murders are not shown any mercy and are unable to seek refuge--wake-up Pakistani's before you loose your beloved country by supporting corrupt people and system.
