Achakzai vows to defend constitution

ISLAMABAD: In a fiery speech in the National Assembly on Monday, leader of the government-allied Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mahmood Khan Achakzai vowed to defend democracy and the constitution of Pakistan against all odds.
“Those who do not believe in the supremacy of the constitution should set themselves aside from those who do. We will revolt against those who betray the constitution,” said the seasoned politician.
Achakzai urged leaders to unite and form ‘a front’ to safeguard democracy.
Speaking after Sartaj Aziz tabled a resolution against Israeli atrocities in Gaza, he said: “In many ways, our country has also turned into Gaza. There should be another resolution — a resolution promising that we will defend the constitution.”
“Betraying the constitution is akin to treason, and we will respect and defend it against all odds,” he said.

If the constitution holds true when plunderers rein free then Mr. Achakzai, you need revolution, not mere resolutions.

Mr Achakzai thank you, indeed we stand with the democratic forces ... the divide is very clear. This country has been plundered in every sense of the word by military dictators, although I have serious reservations on PML Ns style of governance I AM IN NO WAY READY TO SUPPORT ANY EXTRA CONSTITUTIONAL MOVE ..

We need corruption free governance, prospering economy, educated and healthy masses, and violence free society.
Not just programs and projects to make money for corrupt politicians and officials.

Mr Achakzai.! Democracy and constitution doesn't make any sense when the governing body is elected through false mandate. This indeed is giving more harm to the constitution, then the parties which are revolting against the election results.

My friend Shahzaib believes that all problems highlighted by him will disappear in a blink of the eye when his favourite Imran Khan becomes the PM. If IK becomes the PM, the hardest hit people will be PTI supporters whose dreams will be shattered. I feel sorry for PTI supporters. Frustrated they will be if he does not become PM, even more frustrated they will be if he does become PM.

Make IK PM then everything is fine - that is the point he want to make.
IK can declare any one clean or corrupt. Chaudrys & S rasheed are new certified clean politicians by Mr IK.
Mr Zardari is getting good feedback from IK too.

I might disagree with him if he is taking Nawaz Sharif's side but Achakzai would have made a good president , certainly lot better than Mamnoon Hussain, Mamnoon who ? an unknown figure, a businessman from Karachi.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai is a follower of Gandhi, since when he got the idea of defending Pakistan constitution. Imran Khan should never pay any attention to fraud leaders like Achakzai.
