Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, the 1994 romantic hit musical film, has marked its 20th anniversary today.

The Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer was a massive success particularly owing to the chemistry between the duo.

According to The Indian Express, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is Bollywood's first film to earn over Rs1 billion. It also won five Filmfare Awards, as well as the National Film Award for 'Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.'

The film's director, Sooraj Barjatya is said to be working with Salman Khan again after a gap of 15 years in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. They will be celebrating the success of Hum Aapke Hain Kaun on the sets of their new film.

According to Bollywoodlife.com, Salman repeatedly refers to Barjatya as the best director in the country, particularly for the kind of cinema the director makes and its wide audience appeal.

Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit, who played Nisha in the film, tweeted congratulations to Barjatya and also mentioned the film's hit number 'Badhai Ho Badhai' in the tweet:

A big fan of romance, Bollywood director Karan Johar also tweeted:

Anupam Kher, who is also the part of Barjatya's next venture, tweeted:

Some fans also took to twitter to revive the memories of the film:

With the film's success, Salman's on-screen name 'Prem' became very popular.

But would Salman ever portray 'Prem' again?

After the success of Dabangg and the recently released Kick, chances of him being the quintessential lover boy he once was are quite thin. He may be more into action films now, but their success proves he is still in demand and will always be loved.
