SWABI: A teenage boy shot dead his father in Panjpir village here when he tried to stop him from having a friendship with another boy of the same village the other day.

According to police, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Swabi city police station. Jabbar Khan, 14, who allegedly killed his father, was arrested by police soon after the incident. Jabbar is a 9th grade student at a local school. He was asked by his father, Mohammad Ali Shah, to refrain from meeting the boy, but he refused.

Registering FIR against her son and his friend, Jabbar’s mother told police that her son entered his home and told his father that a guest wanted to meet him. As soon as his father (Mr Shahid) came out of the house the boy riding a motorcycle opened fire on him. Jabbar also joined his friend in the attack on his father and killed him on the spot.
