@lahori Say something about kite flying, too. My comment about balloon flying was a taunt. Most recreations in Pakistan are turned into religious taboos or prohibited. You didn't get the humor, Lahon.

@Agha Ata kite flying in a congested city like Lahore gradually became a threat to human life. my family used to celebrate basant more than a religious festival but not after when two of the kids died due to kite flying. there are number of reported & unreported incidents when people lost their lives, esp kids and throats were literally slit through the wire used to fly the kites.
govt can allow people for kite flying on specif days and in specif areas.. but not everywhere !
