HYDERABAD: A meeting of Sindh Bachayo Committee’s (SBC) struggle committee was held in Jamshoro under chairmanship of Sindh United Party (SUP) leader Roshan Buriro on Tuesday and finalised a plan for a mass mobilisation campaign against influx of IDPs in Sindh.

The meeting was attended by Dr Niaz Kalani of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz-Bashir, Dr Mir Alam Mari of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz-Arisar, Karam Hussain Wassan, Abdul Fatah Channa, Ejaz Ahmed, Khan Mohammad, Dur Mohammad Almani and others.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Mr Buriro said the committee had finalised a schedule for the campaign which would begin with a programme to be held under aegis of ‘Sindh Thinkers and Writers Forum’ in Karachi on Aug 22.

On Aug 23, SBC convener Jalal Mehmood Shah would lead nationalist leaders to Sann to pay homage to G. M. Syed to formally launch the campaign. He said the leaders would visit areas of Sann, Sehwan, Bhan Saeedabad and Dadu in the next three days.

Similar visits would be arranged in Qambar-Shahdadkot on Aug 24, Larkana on Aug 25, Shikarpur on Aug 26, Jacobabad on Aug 27, Kashmore on Aug 28, Ghotki on Aug 29, Sukkur on Aug 30, Khairpur on Aug 31, Naushahro Feroze on Sept , Nawabshah on Sept 2 and in Matiari on Sept 3.

He stated that the next phase would begin from Sanghar on Sept 6, Umerkot on Sept 7, Mirpurkhas on Sept 8, Mithi on Sept 9, Badin on Sept 10 and 11, Tando Mohammad Khan on Sept 12, Hyderabad on Sept 14 and 15, Jamshoro on Sept 16 and in the third phase, the campaign would enter Sujawal on Sept 19 and 20 and Thatta on Sept 21 and 22.

He said that in Karachi, the campaign would continue between Sept 23 to 28. On Sept 29, a big rally would be staged in Karachi against settlement of immigrants and religious extremism.
