ABBOTTABAD: Two Compressed Natural Gas stations were sealed here on Wednesday for supplying the CNG to a restaurant and a tandoor (oven).

Assistant commissioner Abbottabad Osama Ahmed Warraich sealed the CNG stations and fined them Rs50,000 each. The assistant commissioner forwarded the issue to Ogra for taking action against the owners of the filling stations for violation of rules.

He said that use of CNG in commercial activities other than fuelling vehicles was dangerous and could cause a major accident.

The Galyat CNG station located on Murree Road at Banni, Nawansher area, and Awami CNG station were sealed.

Besides, the tandoor and the restaurant getting the illegal CNG supply were also sealed.
