Iftikhar Chaudhry never contacted me for his son's appointment: Malik Baloch

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch on Thursday refuted the statement of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in relation to the appointment of Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
"Iftikhar Chaudhry had never contacted me for the appointment of his son,” he told reporters after an Independence Day function at Governor House Quetta.
He reiterated that he had appointed Arsalan in the "interest of Balochistan", dispelling the impression that the country’s former top judge had requested him to do so.
The chief minister stated that Iftikhar Chaudhry was from Balochistan province and had rendered his services to promote democracy in the country and safeguard the country’s constitution.
When asked about Imran Khan's Azadi March, the chief minister stated that the PTI chief should understand the sacrifices the political leadership has rendered for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan.
"We will resist any move against democracy," Dr Baloch said. The chief minister said that the democratic system guaranteed stability and development in the country and for that purpose all political forces were united to safeguard the system.
The chief minister also stated that Balochistan’s law and order situation was improving following steps taken by civilian and military law enforcement agencies.
"Now anyone can easily travel within Quetta,” he said.

It is only because of PTI that arsalan ifthikhar's issue came up. I would like to point out to everyone that if PPP was the opposition it would go unnoticed and it would be another case of "yeh pakistan hai , yahan aisa hota rehta hai" . MarchON PTI.

You can say whatever....it does not matter, because politicians lie with a straight face. If you chose Arsalan on your own, it shows how honest, competent, and sincere you are!!! What qualifications did he have to warrant his appointment by you? Can you justify it? Are government jobs meant to reward and please people or these jobs should go to people that can make things better for the country?

One can ask, (1) did he or the centeral government contact you now to give this statement? (2) whom did Justice Iftekhar contacted then if not you because Mr. Hasil Buzenjo has clearly accepted in a talk show that Justice Iftekhar conveyed his desire that Arslan be appointed on the board?

Can you name any development in the last 7 years of 'democratic system'???? All I know about the democratic system is that 'political' people from Pakistan with suitcases full of money are roaming freely in Dubai, London, Spain, Malaysia, and other countries.

Every Pakistani politician has learnt the phrase 'save democracy and constitution'. Do they really understand what it means?
There is no democracy in Pakistan. It is a sham democracy. The constitution is totally unfit for Pakistan. They should throw away that piece of junk and adopt presidential form of government. They will not do it because it works better for them.
