Pakistan’s top fashion designers Faiza Samee, Rizwan Beyg, Zara Shahjahan and Sania Maskatiya are amongst the 86 designers participating to showcase their collection at the prestigious Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW), in Palladium Hotel in Mumbai, from August 20 to August 24.

According to The Indian Express, the designers will mark their LFW debut with a grand show on August 22.

Sania Maskatiya displayed her latest collection, 'Sakura', which draws from the grace of the cherry blossom, the stark romance of the Japanese landscape, tea houses, turtles and treasure chests, all finding their way onto the brand’s design canvas.

The collection showcased an array of bespoke mixed prints and hand embroideries across a diversity of textures in cuts and patterns that are quintessentially Sania Maskatiya.

Rizwan Beyg’s collection is inspired by truck art and he has produced a fun and colourful collection for which he has received international acclaim. Madhubani paintings have especially inspired his focus on flora and fauna in this collection.

“There is more that unites us than what separates us,” says the fashion icon, who aims to highlight Pakistan's similarities with India through his designs.
