SIALKOT: A large number of PML-N activists belonging to Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils participated in a joint “Istehkaam-i-Pakistan” rally taken out here on Monday.
The rally was led by MNA Sahibzada Syed Iftikharul Hassan Shah and MPAs Manshaullah Butt, Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram, Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Rana Abdul Sattar, Arshad Javaid Warraich and Rana Liaquat Ali.
Addressing the participants, they expressed complete solidarity with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
They condemned the negative politics of some parties which was causing financial losses to the country.
They said the Sharif brothers were a sign of federation as they came to power with a huge mandate of the people in the 2013 general elections.
The rally began from the PML-N central office on Paris Road and ended at Allama Iqbal Chowk after passing through all main inter-city roads.
Hundreds of people standing on both sides of roads warmly welcomed rally participants and showered rose petals on them.
A big rally led by MNA Syed Iftikharul Hassan Shah, MPA Muhammad Asif Bajwa and Afzal Mansha reached Sialkot from Daska to participate in the joint rally.
FOREIGN INVESTMENT: Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said the undue political unrest has stopped Rs32 billion Chinese investment in the country.
Talking to reporters on Monday, the minister said the political and economical stability was vital for foreign investment.
He said both Azadi and Inqilaab marches had not only stopped the foreign investment but also created chaos in the country.
He urged the politicians to give up the tradition of negative politics and play their role in the economic stability of the country.
