LAHORE: A fresh consignment of 12 trucks carrying 70 tonnes of relief items was dispatched for internally displaced persons in Dera Ismail Khan from the army relief camp in Fortress Stadium on Monday, says an ISPR release.

This was the 9th consignment of relief goods sent from Lahore Garrison to meet the requirements of IDPs.

The release says Pakistan Army has so far dispatched 110 truckloads of relief items from Lahore while Rs110,083,741 have been collected in cash donations till date.

The consignment dispatched on Monday included dry ration, crockery, clothing and medicines. The army has established 11 relief camps in Lahore and surrounding areas for the people displaced during the ongoing Operation Zarb-i-Azb.
