COAS Gen Raheel reaches Karachi

KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on Wednesday reached Karachi and is expected to visit Corps Headquarters where he will be given a briefing on the security situation.

According to media reports, General Sharif will also be briefed on security affairs and professional matters.

During his visit to the headquarters, the army chief will also inspect the training program of army personnel.

Due to the arrival of the army chief, the security measures in the city have been tightened and extra deployment of security forces has been ordered at Sharah-i-Faisal.

The airport was cordoned off briefly and vehicles were not allowed to enter the airport premises.
