KASUR: Four people, including a woman, died in separate incidents of roof collapse here on Friday, while at least 15 were injured.

Heavy rainfall for the third consecutive day paralysed life and slowed down business activities.

A woman was killed and her five daughters injured when the roof a room they were sitting in collapsed in Jaga village (Chak 29) of Pattoki.

Irshad Bibi was sitting in a room in her house with her children when the roof caved in. She died on the spot while her daughters Muqaddas, Nabeela, Maryam, Ayesha and Tanzeela suffered injuries and were rushed to the THQ Hospital.

In another incident, Muhammad Sadiq was buried under the debris when the roof of a room in his house caved in at Harihur village.

Similarly, Baja Masih of Changa Manga and Muhammad Afzal of Esa Nagar village died in separate roof collapse incidents.

At least 15 people were reportedly injured besides loss of property in roof collapse incidents at Kareem Park and Muslim Town of Pattoki, Wadana village, Mohallah Sabri of Phoolnagar and Khara village.
