The annual monsoon season has struck hard across the region, leaving several people to wade through rushing water in towns and villages across Pakistan.
About 110 people were killed across the country in heavy monsoon downpours and flooding. Authorities fear that the death toll may rise as more torrential rains and flooding is predicted in the upcoming days.
A number of cities received over 130mm of rain. At least 300 federal rescue workers have joined thousands of state police and soldiers to rescue tens of thousands of people stranded due to the floods.

Global Warming and unrestricted cutting down of trees, excessive building activity and blocking of gutters and canals are some of the causes of the flooding.

@Pakthun, I think it's better if you check your facts before start put finger on India. I am not here to start any argument but just want to let you know both countries are suffering equally in floods so better not to say anything.

@Pakthun You have fallen victim to your politicians false and mischievous propaganda that India has opened the dam gates. India has also suffered life and property losses due to heavy rains and India has scrupulously followed all the provisions of Indus water treaty. Your corrupt politicians are only trying to divert your attention from their failure to do anything to mitigate flood damages year after year.
