NAWABSHAH: The town and its adjoining areas experienced strong jolts for the second time over the past four days on Wednesday, causing panicked people to leave their homes and offices for open spaces and roads.

The magnitude of the quake was said to be 4.3 on the Richter scale.

The jolts were felt at around 1:40 pm and continued for some seconds but the frightened people were seen on the roads till 5 pm for fear of aftershocks.

Many schools evacuated their buildings and sent students back home while a large number of people left the city for their hometowns. However, no loss of life or property was reported from any part of the town.

The town had earlier experienced jolts on May 9 as well.
