SWABI: Two labourers, were killed and three others received injuries while working at an under-construction building in Topi city here on Wednesday.

The labourers were constructing roof of a house at Mohallah Ghulamkhel in Topi city when they came in contact with a high-power transmission line, supplying electricity to Sheikh Muhammadi grid station from Tarbela Dam. As a result, five labourers fell unconscious.

The workers were taken to civil hospital where doctors pronounced two of them dead. One of the injured workers was referred to district headquarters hospital from where he was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. Another labourer was taken to Ghazi hospital while the third one became stable after four hours.

The killed workers were identified as Irshad Ali and Ayaz Khan, residents of Sheikh Jana village in Razaar tehsil. The injured included Imran Khan, Nawab Ali and Sardar Khan. They also were from Sheikh Jana village.
