Memorial boxing from Sept 5

KARACHI, Aug 30: Three-day All Karachi Zafar Memorial boxing tournament will be held at Ali Muhammad Qambrani Boxing Stadium Kakri Ground from Sept 5 under the auspices of Karachi South Boxing Association (KSBA).

According to a news release of KSBA issued Saturday, all the city clubs are eligible to feature in the competition.

30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44 kilogram weight division competition will be held in boys class and in cadet class 46, 48, 50, 52, 54 and 60 KG while juniors will participate 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69 KG class.

The weighing and medical check-up of the pugilists will be held at Muslim Azad Club on Sept 4 between 4 to 6.00 p.m.

Weighing committee included Juma Khan, Inam-ul-Haq, Noor Muhammad Qambrani, Abu Talib, Fida Hussain, Sabir Baloch, Rustam Ali, Aslam Paracha, Nawab Ali, Barkat Ali and Abdul Ghafoor Somroo, Ustad Yaqoob Qambrani, Abdul Ghani Derwesh, Malang Baloch and Jan Baloch are members of jury, it said.—APP
