GUJRANWALA: Students of the Punjab College clinched at least 13 positions in various groups in the intermediate annual examination which was announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala, here on Friday.
The group-wise positions are: In pre-medical group (boys): Waleed Azam of KIPS College, Gujranwala, stood first with 1,039 marks while Hamza Tariq of Government Zamindara Post-graduate College, Gujrat, stood second with 1,031 marks and Syed Fahim Bukhari of the same college got third position with 1,020 marks.
In pre-medical group (girls): Tehrim Raza of Quaid-i-Azam Divisional Public Higher Secondary School for Girls secured first position with 1,034 marks while Fatima Najam of Punjab College for Women Civil Lines, Gujranwala, secured second position with 1,024 marks and Mah Rukh Safder of Quaid-i-Azam Public Higher Secondary School got third position with 1,023 marks.
In pre-engineering group (boys): Syed Muhammad Dawood Sheraz Ali of Punjab College, Gujrat, clinched first position with 1,022 marks while Muhammad Mueez Malik and Muhammad Aqib Sajjad of Punjab College of Science, Gujranwala, got second and third positions with 1,016 and 1,007 marks, respectively.
In pre-engineering group (girls): Ariba Tahir of Punjab College for Women Civil Lines, Gujranwala, bagged first position with 1,020 marks while Ramla Imran of the same college stood second with 1,003 marks and Aroosa Tahir and Atiqa Dawood of Punjab College Civil Lines and Punjab College, Gujrat, jointly stood third with 1,001 marks each.
In arts group (boys): Junaid Ali of Causeway College, Hafizabad, secured first position with 920 marks, Adil Mehmood Malik of Ghazali College Phalia, Mandi Bahauddin, stood second with 912 marks and Ali Hassan of Government Higher Secondary School, Ghakkhar Town, secured third position with 895 marks.
In arts group (girls): Aiaza of Government College for Women, Pasrur, got first position with 945 marks, Ume Aaiman of Gift College of Science, Gujranwala, stood second with 944 marks and Amana Zaheer of Ghazali College for Girls, Mandi Bahauddin, got third position with 935 marks.
In commerce group (boys): Ali Hassan of Punjab College of Commerce, Gujranwala, secured first position with 963 marks, Danish Ahmad of Best College of Commerce, Kamoki, bagged second position and Abdul Ahad of Superior College, Sialkot, got third position with 952 and 920 marks, respectively.
In commerce group (girls): Ariba Mukhtar of Punjab College for Women, Gujrat, got first position with 994 marks while Hifsa Tabasum and Zainab of Punjab College of Science Civil Lines, Gujranwala, stood second and third with 988 and 974 marks, respectively.
In general science group (boys): Muhammad Asad, Ali Ahmad and Hasnain of Superior College for Boys, Sialkot, got first, second and third positions with 968, 955 and 940 marks, respectively.
In general science group (girls): Nimra Jehangir of Punjab College for Women, Sialkot, stood first with 1,000 marks while Sadia Ijaz of Punjab College Civil Lines, Gujranwala, clinched second position with 995 marks and Nighat Rashid of Punjab College for Women, Gujrat, got third position with 994 marks.
