SHEIKHUPURA: Three members of a family drowned in an overflowing drain near Raja Wali village, Nankana district, on Saturday.

Irfan, 22, was walking across the drain when he slipped and fell into it. His 20-year-old sister, Naheed, and 26-year-old cousin Ambreen, who were washing clothes on the drain’s bank, jumped in to save Irfan but did not come out.

Their bodies were recovered after six hours about three kilometers from they drowned.

Police handed over the bodies to the family after completing investigation.
