ISLAMABAD: Suspending membership of renegade President of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, the party on Monday summoned him to the party secretariat to explain his case on September 29, DawnNews reported.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced earlier this month that he had parted ways with Hashmi for opposing the march on the Prime Minister`s House.

During his speech on the floor of Parliament on September 2, Hashmi had clarified that despite his differences with the party’s high command, he was still PTI’s democratically elected president.
In the memorable speech to the joint session of Parliament, the seasoned politician had claimed that no PTI MNA had willingly tendered resignation to the party leadership and that a system existed in the country “to engineer making and breaking of governments.”
He made the claims shortly after disclosing “a scripted plan to overthrow the government, using violent protests as a pretext.”

Hashmi had accused Imran Khan of bypassing a decision of the PTI’s core committee not to join Dr Tahirul Qadri’s march on Prime Minister’s House after receiving a message from ‘somewhere’.
The Pakistan Army, however, had immediately come up with a statement that it was not behind the PTI and PAT sit-ins in any manner.

It baffles me how some people criticize Javed Hashmi for what he did. This guy left PML-N at the time when they were about to be the ruling party of Pakistan in the upcoming election. When he came to PTI, he reiterated in his speeches that 'haan main baghi hon' and told Imran that he would criticize IK if he makes a wrong move. Now that he actually delivered on that promise, PTI supporters have been barraging him with abuses? Absolutely pathetic behaviour.
This is the gentleman who's not in the best of health as anyone who has seen his speech would know, and still came to the Parliament to deliver that amazing speech to try save democracy.
I support PTI, have supported it since the beginning, but I believe the supporters should be the biggest critics of their leaders.

I had great expectations from IK, reason being is that he has done no corruption in public life (cricket team, hospital, politics before dharna), all of sudden he starts talking about Empire, this is ridiculing with our belief of democracy and evolution of system.
Hashmi on the other hand has come out as the person who do not compromise on basic principals, reminds of Habib Jalib.

Hashmi is a grumpy old man. It is time for him to go. He had ben playing double game with IK for some time. He took advantage of IK's simplicity and done more damage to PTI and IK then any other political party. He needs to go. Better late then never. He does not fit well in this changed Pakistan.

Javed Hashmi is a 'baghi' but he was absolutely right. PTI made the biggest mistake of aligning with Qadri who is willing to go aggressive, PTI is not about aggression but democracy.
Im losing faith in IK, is this another autocratic party, when I voted for a democratic party... We have big hopes from you Imran, dont drown in your own ego.

Finally, PTI is now left with all those people who were in someway rejected by other parties for one and another reason. How can we believe IK now that he will bring any change in the country when he is sitting, walking and speaking with those who are already highly corrupted individuals. WE DEMAND IK to reconsider his decision of cancelling the membership of Mr. Hashmi.

Hundreds of thousands of people showed up at the Karachi jalsa. And believe me that there are many many more people, double or triple the number who are sitting at home. And support him.
The time has finally come to get rid of these selfish politicians who only look for what benefits them. Hashmi is constantly attention seeking and constantly contradicting himself.
To the older generation he might mean something still but to the younger crowd, he means nothing. What positive thing has a person like him ever done for pakistan. It's actions that matter not hollow words.

I believe you are in your twenties. Otherwise, if you have witnessed the promises made by old politicians, like Bhutto, and IJI, you would not fall in love with IK. I have never seen even any promise program shown by IK. His whole struggle and appeal is surrounded by abusive language against his opponents and no solid program for himself.

IK is fighting for the people of Pakistan. You may disagree with his step or approach - you just can't leave him in between and hold press conferences exposing party internal secrets. I think you have all rights to disown any particular action but you just can't end a crucial relationship on name of "democracy". Your action caused things to get pro-longed only.
