Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor starer Bollywood film Khoobsurat garnered Rs30 million within three days of screening in Pakistan, reported Hindustan Times

The film also made a record of collecting Rs10 million on a non-holiday weekday.

The owner of IMGC Entertainment, Amjad Rasheed stated, "No Pakistani film has ever made Rs10 million on a non-holiday weekday, and this is the first time this has ever happened."

Owing to the sky-rocketing success of Humsafar, Fawad's Khoobsurat has already created waves before its release. The film was also able to bag 46 screens all across Pakistan.

Nadeem Mandviwala, owner and CEO of Mandviwala Entertainment said that the credit of Khoobsurat's success goes to the 'star power' of Fawad Khan.

"None of the cinema goers here (in Pakistan) are coming to see Sonam, they're all coming to see Fawad Khan and that is the power of a star."

He also added that Khoobsurat has not only beaten Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starer Dawat-e-Ishq, but has also outdone Afia Nathaniel's Dukhtar.

Last year on Eid-ul-Azha, Bilal Lashari's Waar saw a similar response from the audience but unlike Khoobsurat it was released on a holiday-weekday.

Produced by Anil Kapoor Films Company and Disney India, Khoobsurat is a raving success in Pakistan, but it saw a slow start at the Indian box office and was unable to edge closer to Dawat-e-Ishq.
