Ahmadi man killed in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS: Gunmen in Mirpurkhas's Mali Colony area shot dead a doctor from the Ahmadi community, police and members of the community said Tuesday, in the latest attack on one of the country's most persecuted groups.
The assailants stormed Mubashar Ahmad Khosa's clinic on Monday evening.
“He was attending to patients at his clinic when two unknown assailants came in and fired at him repeatedly before fleeing on a motorbike,” a statement by a local community group said.
Zafarullah Dharejo, a senior police official, added that a third attacker kept watch outside.
Khosa, who was a well-known in the area, succumbed to his injuries on his way to hospital.
Dharejo said, “The doctor got a text message half an hour before the murder asking him to come out of his clinic.”
Locals of Mali Colony told Dawn that Khosa was a resident of Satellite Town and has been working in their area for a long time.

Khosa's body was taken to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas for postmortem. However, no First Information Report (FIR) was registered.
The police officer said that in 2008, another Ahmadi doctor was gunned down in a similar way in the same city.
Earlier in July, at least three female members of the Ahmadi community, including two minors, had been killed in Gujranwala's People's Colony when a mob attacked and burnt five houses, a storage building and several vehicles over alleged blasphemy.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the People's Colony Circle had said that the trouble started with an allegedly blasphemous post on Facebook by an Ahmadi youth.
Pakistan is believed to be home for the largest population of Ahmadis, however their standing in the nation has been questioned from the very start.
Ahmadis have been arrested in Pakistan for reading the Holy Quran, holding religious celebrations and having Quranic verses on rings or wedding cards. Four years ago, 86 Ahmadis were killed in two simultaneous attacks in Lahore.
In early 1953s the country was surrounded in a whirl of rumours that Ahmadis were manipulating Muslims to convert, especially the influential individuals and the ones which held official positions.

Who is not a minority in Pakistan? Why are not ALL Pakistani citizens equal constitutionally? Why should personal religious beliefs be a concern of a secular Government?

Ahmadis are constantly being persecuted, killed and burned alive by Anti-Islam Ahmadiyyat forces. These doctors who are killed in Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Rabwah (Chenab Nagar) and other places in the country provide excellent healthcare to the locals. Some doctors who are killed / martyred were visiting doctors from the US and other countries. It is very sad and shameful for Pakistanis that they beg and cry to the world for they do not have basic healthcare, living standard is poor and yet they mercilessly kill those who are ready to provide them all the elementary needs.

No FIR, No condolences, no action will be ever taken to capture the killers as history tell us that Pakistani politicians has nothing to gain in condemning innocent killings. Few months back Dr. Mehdi was gun downed in Rabwha and no action taken yet.
By not taking action on such horrendous crimes government is actually supporting and encouraging killers. Other then Dawn other Media outlets hardly reports such crimes. No wonder Pakistan is in such a stat of mess.

The root of the problem are the religious leaders who spew venom against this already oppressed minority.
The remedy is to dive into the realm of meaning instead of bogged down at the surface where the doctrinal differences reside.
In the outer realm, there is diversity.
However, the Truth resides in the inner dimension.
The different religions are like the different languages, whose syntax are different, but they are all saying the same thing.
The consciousness that the Reality that encompasses and permeates all other realities is One is already in every person's heart. God has already informed us of this in the Qur'an.
We must not question what's in a person's heart, for that is only known to God.
Why a person adheres to one doctrine and one set of spiritual practices is very complex.
One cannot rule out the effects of family upbringing on a child during his or her formative years.
Is it not possible that underneath our outer differences is the same quest: consciousness of the Reality?
Our aim should be to groom our self so that it reflects the higher qualities, such as love, peace, selflessness, generosity, forgiveness, humility, etc., instead of debating our outer differences.

When people play gods themselves, they don't need a just, loving and caring God, rather they become sufficient for themselves and no one is spared to survive in the end. Sad affairs for a very sad country- if it can be called that!!! It is a society where the roots of hatred are deep, a society with no understanding of Islam or humanity, a society that does not the teachings of the Quran or the examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). The Muslims are also a minority in the world even after 1400 years. I wonder how they would feel if the majority powers in the world treated them in the same way in USA, Canada, Europe, South America, Japan, etc. The only country in the world that decides who is of what religion and how they should be called. A country where religious hatred has been prescribed in the constitution. This so called nation deserves the leaders it has got. It deserves the Mullahs that are being followed blindly. Chaos, anarchy, hatred, corruption and fatwas are the core basis of its existence. Shame on the Government and the people of Pakistan and the silent media for not condemning the killing of a doctor who served his community diligently and sincerely. May he rest in peace. May Allah elevate his position in heaven.

Pakistan consists of various muslim sects (the majority being sunnis) as well as other religious minorities (Christians, Sikhs, budhists etc.). ahmadi muslim are one example of minority, however they have been subject to various forms of persecution and discrimination which is endorsed by state law. on top of being rejected by mainstream muslims as being considered muslims, they are prohibited by law from self-identifying as Muslims, and their freedom of religion has been curtailed by a series of ordinances, acts and constitutional amendments. Persecution of Ahmadis has been particularly severe and systematic in Pakistan. As a result, persecution and hate-related incidents are constantly reported from different parts of the country, and Ahmadis have been the target of many attacks led by various religious groups.

Minorities are being killed mercilessly and the killers are roaming freely boasting their exploits.All you guys can do is write a couple of lines in the comment section and go on your daily routine. Nothing changes and everything is status quo.
Most of you are cowards and will not take any bold action if it disturbs your leisurely lifestyle. Pakistan is your country, do something about it or you will lose it in near future.

True. But the fanatics do not know how to groom themselves. They have been channeled from youth in madrassas to accept without questioning what they are told by expert "holy men". As adults they have no social awareness and no job prospects. They have been indoctrinated to blame and to kill others for their differences.

Killing in the name of religion is something we should all condemn without hesitation. We should profess the faith we want to profess and let people follow the faith they want to follow.
